Frequently Asked Questions

These are the most frequently asked questions I receive from my couples. If you don’t see your questions below, feel free to reach out here.

How will I receive my images?

I’ll send you a link to a digital gallery hosted through Pixieset. Feel free to send the link to friends and family. Your gallery will be available for six months.

From the link, you can view, download, and print your photos. Simply click on each file and choose the size you’d like to have printed.

No need to worry about downloading files and bringing them to a print lab or uploading your photos to a website to print. Order prints from the comfort of your own home knowing you’ll receive high-quality images.

Orders will be automatically sent to one of Pixieset’s approved print lab partners depending on the products ordered. Print labs include:

Each of these professional labs has a great reputation for providing quality prints and impeccable service. You can trust that your images are in good hands. Your prints will be shipped right to your doorstep.

Do you offer engagement sessions?

Yes. Engagement sessions are offered in Collection II and Collection III. The session includes up to three outfit changes and two locations. You’ll receive your images in 4-6 weeks.

What if I want to cancel? Will I get a refund?

Unfortunately, you will not receive a refund if you cancel. However, you won’t be required to make any remaining payments on the contract.

What if our personalities don’t click and I want to back out?

If we don’t vibe well, that’s totally fine! I want you to find someone who makes you feel confident and delivers the style of photography you love. If that’s not me, that’s okay. And hey, I can recommend some people you might love! Just let me know you’re looking for a referral.

If you’ve already booked with me and made your first payment, my cancellation policy will apply.

Can you shoot in bad weather/rain?

As long as you’re willing to get wet and/or cold, of course we can! However, please consider that we may not be able to get everything on your shot list.

As long as my equipment isn’t at risk of damage and our personal safety isn’t at risk, I’ll run out into the rain with you to get the perfect shot. (And my camera has a cute little rain jacket to keep it safe.)

What if I don’t like my images?

Before we take the leap together – and you take the leap with your partner – you have to be comfortable with me and trust my style. We, unfortunately, can’t rewind time and reshoot your entire wedding. If we could rewind time, I’d definitely go back and do a few things differently.

I will try to work with you to see if revising my editing style will result in images that you’re happy with. Please note: There may be an additional fee based on how much editing needs to be done and on how many images you’d like adjusted.

How long does it take to edit our wedding photos?

It takes four to seven weeks to edit your wedding photos. The length of time is dependent on the time of year. If it’s peak wedding season – late spring to fall – you can count on it taking the full seven weeks. If your wedding is in the off-season, like winter, it’ll realistically take less time to edit.

Why do I need a second photographer?

You’ll notice that each of my packages comes with a second photographer. There are times when I can’t be in two places at once, as much as I’d like to be. I don’t want to miss any of your important moments. No matter a photographer’s level of expertise, it’s impossible not to miss details.

For instance, with a second shooter, you’ll have plenty of photos of both one partner walking down the aisle and the other standing at the altar with tears in their eyes.

Do you work with a videographer?

I’m happy to work alongside a videographer if you’ve hired one. I’m also happy to provide you with a list of recommendations for videographers in the area.

Prior to your big day, I’ll reach out to each creative vendor you’re working with to coordinate. I’ll work with them to ensure we’re not stepping on each other’s toes, and instead working together to capture all your best moments.

Will you help me plan my timeline?

Of course! I’ll provide you with a timeline template and suggested shot list after you’ve signed the contract. We’ll meet several times prior to the wedding to nail down the shot list and timeline.

You can feel confident knowing every shot will be covered.

Can I hire two different wedding photographers?

Hiring a photographer in addition to Frolic Photo Co. is a breach of contract. Having two separate companies capturing your event can cause confusion and unnecessary stress. No one knows which camera to look at half the time and the other photographer may either end up in my shot or in my way.

It’s hard to do my job when there’s another photographer trying to do it too — whether you’ve hired another professional or Uncle Bob wants to play around with his fancy camera and take a few shots.
