Hey, Sam here!

I’m the girl always hanging out behind the lens or behind a computer screen making couples’ photos go from wow to WHOA. I probably have an iced coffee in my hand, my cat Cercei standing on my keyboard and my dog Luna begging me to play.

My love of photography is long-standing – I wanted to be an artist when I grew up – and my love of wedding photography helped fill my creative bucket.  A family friend asked me to capture their wedding last minute. It was intimidating, but I realized I wasn’t as introverted as I thought I was. A switch flipped in me. I loved the energy. There are so many emotional moments happening all day that make my heart swell. Capturing someone in such a vulnerable state – I get emotional just thinking about it. Plus, I get to make friends with my couples and the wedding party and have some fun.

After that first event, I decided to be a second shooter for weddings for a solid two years. I wanted to learn as much as I could before venturing on my own. As the years progress, I continuously invest in my equipment and my education and I have several mentors in the industry. My favorite backdrop to shoot is a downtown cityscape or a cliffside overlooking the water.

I work hard to make sure all my couples feel comfortable when my lens is on them.

I encourage you to be yourself and have fun. I love capturing unplanned, emotional moments — the photos you look back on and instantly relive one of the best days of your life.

When I’m not taking photographs, I love to lift weights, check out new restaurants, and try my best to keep all of my plants alive.

Well, that’s it in a nutshell and it’s been my passion for years. If you stuck around for this long, let’s be friends. Fill out the contact form below to request a quote to book your wedding day! I can’t wait to meet you.
